November 2011 – On November 10, Thomas B. Farrey III and John T. Farrey of our Boston office attended the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Regional Meeting in Providence, Rhode Island.

November 2011 – Thomas B. Farrey, III discussed liquor liability with liquor licensees from the town of Framingham (Massachusetts) at the 2011 Town of Framingham Annual Alcohol Education Seminar on November 10, 2011 at the Framingham Town Hall.

November 2011 – U.S. News & World Report  has named Burns and Farrey to the Best Law Firms 2011-2012 list. The firm is proud to have earned a Tier 1 Ranking, the highest available, for Personal Injury-Defendants.

November 2011 – On November 2-4, Thomas B. Farrey III and John T. Farrey of our Boston office attended the 24th Annual Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) International Conference in San Diego, California.

October 21, 2011 – Burns and Farrey congratulates Thomas B. Farrey, III, who has been named to the 2011 edition of Massachusetts Super Lawyers. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor. Attorney Farrey has been selected for inclusion five times.

The firm is also proud to congratulate James P. McLarnon, Jr., Kate E. McCarron and Amy Maher Rogers, all of whom have been named by Massachusetts Rising Stars as top up-and-coming attorneys in the state for 2011. This is the second consecutive year that Attorney McLarnon has been selected for inclusion for this honor that is reserved for no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Massachusetts.

October 2011—On October 10-13, Thomas B. Farrey III and John T. Farrey of our Boston office attended the 2011 National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, Ltd. (NAPSLO) Annual Convention in San Diego, California.

October 2011—On October 6 Thomas B. Farrey III attended the Massachusetts Chapter of Risk Management Society (RIMS) Fall Networking Reception along with Frank S. Puccio, Jr., Emily M. LaCroix and John T. Farrey of our Boston office, and Maria Hickey Jacobson of our Worcester office.

October 2011—On October 5, John T. Farrey of our Boston office and Lauren F. Jankowski of our Worcester office attended “Social Media and Its Impact,” a Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) New England Chapter event in Boston, Massachusetts.

September 2011—Burns & Farrey congratulates Thomas B. Farrey III for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America, 2012. Attorney Farrey has been selected to Best Lawyers in America for four consecutive years.

June 2011 – On June 26-29, John T. Farrey of our Boston office attended the annual meeting of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) in San Francisco, California. As part of the conference, John attended a two-day session designed to introduce attorneys who are new to the representation of colleges and universities to cutting edge issues facing institutions of higher learning.

May 2011 – Thomas B. Farrey, III was elected to the office of Vice President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

May 2011 – James P. McLarnon, Jr. of our Worcester office was admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of New Hampshire.

April 2011 – On April 14, Frank S. Puccio, Jr. and Emily M. LaCroix, both of our Boston office, attended the Professional Liability Underwriters Society’s (PLUS) New England Chapter Cocktail Reception in Boston, Massachusetts.

April 2011 – On April 20,  Maria Hickey-Jacobson of our Worcester office attended the Developers Diversified Realty Corp. (DDR) Defense Counsel Summit in Cleveland, Ohio.

April 2011 – On  April 21,  James P. McLarnon, Jr. and Lauren F. Jankowski, both of our Worcester office, attended the Massachusetts Risk Management Society’s (MRIMS) Educational Meeting entitled “Accident Reconstruction: Initial Response, Investigation, Science and Litigation” in Norwood, Massachusetts.

April 2011 – On April 27-28, John T. Farrey of our Boston office attended "Introduction to Underwriting" at the Insurance Library Association in Boston, Massachusetts.

March 2011 – On March 15, John T. Farrey or our Boston office was admitted to the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts.

March 2011 – James P. McLarnon, Jr. of our Worcester office was admitted to the State Court of New Hampshire.
